Oak Class took part in a workshop called ‘Cosmetic Chemistry’ at the Royal Institute. They learnt about the various chemical reactions needed to make bath bombs and lip balm and they even got to make their own products to take home with them.
They carefully weighed and mixed items such as bicarbonate of soda, citric acid and a little bit of oil together. Then they chose the scent and colours for their bath bombs.
